About ANHFSY

Youth homelessness is a serious dilemma. Youths are not often able to handle the transitioning out of the foster care system.  The effects of homelessness in youths can lead to isolation, drug-abuse, alcoholism, gang involvement and more.  A New Hope for Society’s Youth, a newly formed 501(c) (3) non-profit organization, has developed a program to combat the issue of youth homelessness. We seek to transform the lives of youth that are leaving foster care, by supporting the most promising and innovative ideas that provide these youth with not merely transitional services, but rather transformational opportunities that help them reconnect with their futures.

Our program has formed partnerships with the department of children and families, juvenile court system and Miami Dade Public school system. Our goal is to foster a commitment to young males that will promote pro-social friendships, strong interpersonal skills and reassert a sense of hope in the future.  Only through personal relationships can a sense of individual responsibility be reestablished that will give youth the commitment to follow through on the path to adulthood with a sense of pride and accomplishment.
